Dining Room - Installation Conditions

When dimensioning the area intended for customer service, calculate the number of seats at a rate of at least 0.75 m2 per seated customer and 0.50 m2 per standing customer. Arrange the tables to facilitate circulation.


As already mentioned, when the dining room is on a different floor from the kitchen, the installation of a dumbwaiter is mandatory.

In large-capacity dining rooms, or when the sanitary facilities are not on the same floor as the room, it is advantageous to place a washbasin for customers to wash their hands before meals.

If the room does not have openings that allow windows to be opened, the installation of a mechanical air renovation system will always be required.

The installation of an air conditioning system is also becoming increasingly important. The room will benefit from greater thermal comfort (maintaining the temperature at approximately 23º C) and better indoor air quality.

Suggestions

In larger rooms, you can also provide a support cabinet (crockery cabinet) to store crockery, cutlery, cloths, napkins, among others. There may also be refrigerated display units intended to store the couvert and desserts.
